Getting to know
Nick & Molly

What’s your favourite part of a wedding day?

Nick: “It’s really rewarding when you capture a great candid moment, and the drinks reception is one of the best times of day for it. The couple have just got married, friends are seeing each other for the first time in years - spirits are high and I love that energy.”

Molly: “The couple’s entrance to the meal. For me, the bigger, the better. It’s a very joyous moment, and the footage we capture is always very real.”

What’s a moment from a wedding that’s stayed with you?

Nick: “During bridal prep, the bridesmaids blasted a song from the bride’s hen-do, and suddenly, the whole room was alive. They danced and sang like nobody was watching, all totally lost in the moment. For me, it was a very emotional moment - like I was watching a memory take shape in real time, a snapshot of life they’d hold onto forever.”

Molly: “The bride’s mum and aunt stood up to give an improvised speech. They were so emotional, they kept crying every time they tried to speak, but that just made them laugh because they couldn’t get their words out. I identified with that so much and it was a very heartwarming moment.”

What’s your top piece of wedding planning advice?

Nick: “Inject your personality into your wedding; even the smallest personal details can make the biggest difference.”

Molly: “Plan everything in as much detail as possible, and then when it gets to the day, let it all go and enjoy yourself.”

What do you each bring to the table?

Nick: “My main input tends to be technical and practical. Getting the colours looking beautiful, nailing the music edits, timing the dialogue and footage just right.”

Molly: “A mixture of my sentimentality and my love of making emotional stories. I love to take viewers on a journey that will bring back everything they felt on the day for years to come. I very much have the 70-year-old ‘you’ in mind.”

Molly has a degree in Creative Writing, so storytelling is her jam

Nick used to be a music producer, so he’s great at editing music for films

What’s your favourite part of the edit?

Nick: “Coming from a musical background, I love editing songs to complement the dynamics of the film. I love tailoring music to flow with the  dialogue; whether it's tugging at heartstrings or delivering a laugh, I love editing the music to deliver the most impact.”

Molly: “Probably making the Teaser. There’s a lot of freedom making a Teaser because of its short form, and I like to have a lot of fun with it.”

Molly loves all things vintage and antique…
